Start'em and Sit'em

Week 7

By Richard Harris
October 21, 2007

You don’t need me to tell you to start LT and LJ (and PM).  And it’s safe to say that you know that TE Reggie Kelly is in for another quiet week.  I am here to talk about the not-so-obvious players in terms of whether you should “Start’em or Sit’em.”

QUARTERBACKS

START

Carson Palmer (Cincinnati) – Palmer has been struggling, throwing two picks in four straight games.  His protection has been shoddy, and WR Chris Henry’s absence has limited the quarterback’s options.  This week, RB Rudi Johnson (hamstring) is doubtful, meaning that the pressure will be on Palmer to carry the load again.  The good news is that he’ll be facing a Jets defense that ranks 27th against the pass.  New York is allowing more than 243 passing yards per game, while averaging less than two combined INTs (.7) and sacks (1.0) per game.
